COURSE DESCRIPTION:

People First Language ensures inclusion, freedom, and respect for all. It puts the person before their disability. Students will learn about the history of People First Language and how to use it in their everyday lives.

CLASS RESCHEDULE POLICY 

Classes require at least 10 students to proceed as scheduled. If classes do not meet the minimum attendance policy, they will be rescheduled later, and all students will be informed before the class.

The photographs and recordings made are likely to appear on our website, used for promotional purposes, social media, or any other marketing purpose. If you would prefer not to be photographed or recorded in any capacity, please let your instructor know.

This course does NOT qualify for continuing education credits (CEUs) for both Adult Residential Facilities (ARFs) and Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFEs). We are working to get this course approved for ARF & RCFE Administrators.
